Allan has performed as an artist in every state of Australia, as well as appearing on stages in the US and in New Zealand and performing for Australian troops stationed in East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan. Tamara said it was a fantastic coup to have Allan perform live at Hoolihans. “We’re excited to have such an international talent visit us here in Hervey Bay,” she said. Hoolies has been an institution in Hervey Bay since 2001. Originally a deep sea dive shop, the building soon became a well known part of Hervey Bay transformed into a restaurant and bar riddled with Irish and international memorabilia. In 2013, Tamara took over co-ownership of the establishment. Since then, Hoolies has developed a strong culture of fundraising and supporting much-needed community groups. They offer free birthday meals to the value of $25, and from this, Hoolies donates $1 to a charity organisation or individual in need. Over the years, Hoolies has raised more than $46,000 for hundreds of worthwhile causes. Recently, the popular pub donated a generous $3000 to the Hervey Bay Hospital paediatric unit.
