What’s on Z-Pac Teens are benefi tting from acting lessons offered by professional actor Rod Lousich (pictured), who starred in the Power Rangers Series. His students in Hervey Bay may be too young to remember, but to many, the Power Rangers were a staple for children’s television. Rod was the Power Rangers’ mentor Andrew Hartford in 32 episodes of the show during 2006-07 and is known locally as a member of the trio, 3 on a Tree, Power Ranger passes on skills Queen tribute a ‘killer’ show If you’re a fan of Queen, don’t miss this amazing tribute show coming to Hervey Bay RSL on Saturday, November 22. and duo Two Tone. Rod was excited to be invited to be Z-Pac’s teens’ coach and has been enjoying watching the students learn and apply new skills, work together well as a group and blossom with confi dence. Whatever you do, don’t miss their next delightful production – a selection of morally inspired and fun packed mini-adventures as re-told by the Z-Pac Teen Group in short plays including Markets, arts and craft Maryborough Heritage Market, 8am–2pm Thursdays in Ellena and Adelaide Streets. Marina Twilight Markets from 2.30pm every Friday at the Hervey Bay Marina at Urangan. Torquay Beachside Markets this Saturday, 8am–2pm outside Aquavue Cafe, Torquay. Decorate your own gingerbread house this Saturday, 10am–2pm at Little Miss Cupcake, 78 Main St, Pialba. $10, to book call 4194 5141. Koala Markets from 6am Sunday at Kruger Court, Hervey Bay. Dog and the Bone, Tortoise and the Hare, Fox and the Grapes; just some of the legendary Aesop fables. Join the Z-Pac Theatre Teens as they re-tell these classic tales with an oh-so-slightly modern edge. The show runs Friday and Saturday, November 21-22, from 7.30pm and Sunday, November 23, from 2pm. Community activities Keep your mind sharp with a game of cards; 500 or hand and foot at the Hervey Bay Branch of the Australian Pensioners and Superannuants League every Thursday, 1-4pm. Enjoy good company and a cuppa with a biscuit at 61 Hunter St, Pialba. Cost is $3, phone 4124 8532 for more information. Other activities include table tennis every day, 1pm - 4pm, except for Thursday and Sunday, art on Mondays 9ammidday followed by craft at 1-4pm. Board games on Tuesdays, 9am-midday. Killer Queen recreates the unique Queen sound with around two hours of classic hits, energetically played by the Brisbanebased quartet. The band has received recognition within the entertainment industry for the band’s musicality as well as the members’ startling resemblances to the original line-up. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Doors open 7pm for 8pm start. Fitness fun for all levels Hervey Bay Parkrun starts 7am at Lions Park at Urangan Pier, Urangan for a 5km run on Saturday. Cost is free, but participants must register at parkrun.com.au.
